Removing the Sora Templates Redirect Code

Do you Hate Sora Templates Redirect Code?

If you have ever used a Free Sora Template and tried to get rid of their attribution you know that it results in your page being redirected to their page.

Well I have news, you can EASILY get rid of that redirect. Sora Templates puts in a masked code directly in your templates HTML that easy to find. Just look for something that makes no sense what-so-ever.

In fact, here it is (or at least a version of it):

To confirm that this is the correct code, I ran it through a Javascript Tester and it came out with this result:

Basically it looks for the word 'mycontent' in the code below and if it is not there then it redirects the web page to Sora templates home page.

When first testing new templates, I would not delete the code outright because Sora is always modifying this code to prevent pages like 'Becoming a Food Blogger' from getting around their redirect codes. I would comment it out using /* at the beginning and */ at the end.

Eventually, Sora will build a second layer on to the code to check if their masked code is still there. There are ways around that I have found, just in case.

So far, the following works:

• Deleting or /*commenting*/ the masked code.
• Editing the Created By line and a href as long as id='mycontent' is still there.
• Adding style="color: (whatever your background color is)" to the <div class='copyright'>

I did what you said to do, but it's still not working?!?

Sora templates also tend to have other encoded scripts to prevent some of their unique code from being edited or copied or removed. This is probably what you found.

Hopefully you backed-up your website and can just revert the changes you made and try again.
